Summer After Starlight

I contemplate the stars again the points confusing me each barbed with a tough edge a painful reality So I turned to the planets but they just went round and round so I looked down to earth where I stood on shifting ground So I lifted up all I saw the rain, it cried for me clouds wispy dreams my plans too quickly freezing but only after the clouds had dissipated and the rain cried all it’s tears glory be, and hallelujah! I see the sun shine down and through horizons are brighter than they have ever been let me catch it, quickly before the starlight caves in For after the night, then night like a million others now, finally dawn a morning of hope and wonder
